Some Juise programs are offered through schools, colleges, and universities. Where a school program is available to students who are minors aged 13 to 17, a student's use is subject to the school's authorization and, where required, to parental or guardian consent obtained by the school. We do not use minors' personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not sell it or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Where a school provides student information to Juise, or directs Juise to process information to run its program, Juise acts as the school's service provider and processes that information only to provide the program.
Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It
We collect several types of information from and about users of our Platform, including information:by which you may be personally identified, such as name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline ("personal information");

The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:
Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our Platform. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Platform.
Local storage. Some features of the website and apps store small amounts of data locally on your device (for example, in browser local storage or app storage) to remember your preferences and keep you signed in. You can clear this data through your browser or device settings.
Web Beacons. Pages of our Platform and our emails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).
Third-Party Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
Some content or applications, including advertisements, on the Platform are served by third-parties, including advertisers, ad networks and servers, content providers, and application providers. These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our website. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.
We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly. For information about how you can opt out of receiving targeted advertising from many providers, see "Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information" below.
The Juise Rider App and Juise Fleet app do not contain third-party advertising software, do not use cookies for advertising, and do not share your information with advertising networks.
Mobile App Information — Juise Rider App
This section describes information the Juise Rider App collects on your mobile device and what it sends to Juise. It is in addition to the rest of this policy.
Account and sign-in information. When you create an account or sign in, we collect and store your name, email address, phone number, and password. Your password is stored only in hashed (irreversible) form; we never store it in plain text. If you enable two-step verification, we store the secret used to verify your six-digit codes and a set of one-time recovery codes. After you sign in, our servers issue access and refresh tokens that keep you signed in; these are stored on your device and are also validated by our servers. We log sign-in and verification attempts, including the time, device type, approximate location derived from IP address, and whether the attempt succeeded, for security and fraud prevention.
If you turn on Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint unlock, the biometric check happens entirely within your device's operating system. The app receives only a yes-or-no result and never receives or stores your biometric data, and no biometric data is sent to Juise.
Location and trip information. The Juise Rider App records trips so you can see your ride history, distance traveled, and program points. While a trip is being tracked, the app collects precise GPS location on your device: latitude and longitude, plus speed, heading, altitude, horizontal accuracy, and a timestamp for each sample, and it derives distance, duration, average and top speed, and a travel-mode estimate such as walking versus micromobility.
Foreground and background collection. With "while using the app" permission, location is collected only while the app is open and a trip is active. If you grant "always" or background location permission, the app can keep recording a trip you have started when the app is in the background or your screen is locked, and can automatically detect when a trip starts and ends. You can change or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; trip tracking then works only while the app is open. On iOS, motion and fitness activity from the device may be used on the device to start and stop trip tracking efficiently.
What is sent to and stored by Juise. When a trip ends, and periodically during a long trip, the trip is uploaded and stored against your account and your school. This includes a trip identifier; whether you started the trip manually or it was detected automatically; the travel mode; the start and end time; total distance; duration; average and top speed; program points earned and lost; the full ordered list of GPS samples for the trip, each with latitude, longitude, speed, altitude, heading, accuracy, and timestamp; which program points of interest you visited and when; and any speed-zone or restricted-zone events, including the latitude and longitude where each event occurred, the reason, the duration, and the points deducted. Trips you start manually are stored with their full location trail.
For trips detected automatically: if a trip is too short or slow to count as a real route and involved no zone event, it is not stored; if it involved a zone event, only the location samples around that event are kept. Your uploaded trip history powers your own ride-history list, your points total, and leaderboards. A trip is shared to the in-app friends feed only if you explicitly choose to share that trip. We do not sell location data and do not use it for advertising.
"Find my device" Bluetooth sightings. If you register a vehicle or device that has a Bluetooth (BLE) beacon so it can be located if lost, and while a Juise app is running, riders' phones can detect nearby registered beacons and report a "sighting." A sighting stored by Juise includes a normalized form of the beacon's hardware address, the reporting phone's GPS location (latitude, longitude, accuracy, and time), signal strength, the time observed, the device owner's account identifier, the account identifier of the rider whose phone reported the sighting, and the associated school. This means that if you have a Juise app installed, your phone may contribute location data points when it passes near other riders' registered devices, and those points are linked to your account. Raw sightings are automatically deleted after 24 hours; sightings that are compiled into a device's location history are kept for a limited period so the owner can review recent history.
Device and technical information. Device model, operating system and version, app version, language and region, time zone, mobile network and connection type, a push-notification identifier, IP address, and diagnostic logs.
Push notifications. If you allow notifications, our notification provider (OneSignal) assigns your device a push token so we can send you account and program notifications. You can turn notifications off in the app or your device settings at any time.
School and program information. Your school or campus membership and any assigned role, challenges you join and your progress, vehicles and devices you register in the program, and parking violations or parking incident reports involving you. Some of this you create; some is created by your school's administrators.
What your school's administrators can see.
Administrators of a school you belong to can see, for that school only, through the Juise administrator dashboard: your program membership and role; challenges you join and your progress; devices you register; parking violations and parking incident reports involving you, including the incident location and any photos, status, and fees; and penalty-review records generated when one of your trips triggered a speed-zone or restricted-zone event that needs review, showing your identity, the trip identifier, the zone, how many times it has happened, the points deducted, the reason, the time, and reviewer notes. Administrators do not receive your ordinary GPS routes or full trip trails; they see program participation and the location of a specific violation or incident.Social content. Any profile photo, posts, comments, likes, friend connections, and trips you choose to share in the app's social features. Content you share is visible to the friends you connect with in the same program.
Diagnostics and crash data. The app uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to record crashes and errors, including stack traces, device state at the time of the crash, and app version, so we can fix stability problems.
Information stored on your device. The Juise Rider App keeps the following in its own storage on your device, not in a shared or system-wide location:
Stored on your device:
Sign-in tokens--Access and refresh tokens that keep you signed in
Removal: You sign out, clear app data, or uninstall
Profile basics--Name, email, phone, user ID, school memberships, registered devices, cached profile-image links
Removal: You sign out
Biometric-unlock setting--An on/off setting only (no biometric data)
Removal: You sign out or turn it off
Trip tracking data--In-progress and recent trips, including GPS points, until they are uploaded and pruned
Removal: You sign out; after upload and pruning; clear app data; uninstall
Program configuration cache--Your school's points of interest and zone definitions
Removal: Refreshed automatically; cleared on sign-out
Social feed cache--Recently viewed friends-feed posts, so the feed loads quickly
Removal: You sign out; clear app data; uninstall
Signing out of the app removes Juise data stored on that device. Uninstalling the app also removes it.
Background location disclosure. The Juise Rider App requests background location access only to keep recording a trip you have started when the app is not in the foreground or your device is locked, and to automatically detect the start and end of trips. Background location is never used for advertising, is never sold, and is uploaded to Juise only as the trip history described above. You can use the app without granting background location; trips will then record only while the app is open.

May be kept indefinitely; it cannot be linked back to you.
If you stop using the app without asking us to delete your account, we keep your account information so your history and points are available if you return. You can request deletion at any time.
Account Deletion and Data Deletion Requests
How to request deletion. To delete your Juise account and the personal information associated with it, email info@juisemobility.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request," and include the name, email address, and phone number on the account so we can verify your request. You may also write to us at 977 E. 14 Mile Rd., Troy, Michigan 48083.
Verification. To protect your account, we confirm the request from your account email address and, where needed, a code sent to your registered phone number before acting on it. We may ask for additional information if we cannot reasonably verify your identity.
Timing. We complete verified deletion requests within 1 to 3 business days of verifying your identity, and we email you to confirm when it is done.
What we delete. Your account profile, sign-in credentials and two-step verification data, trip and route history, program points, challenge progress, registered devices, beacon-sighting records linked to your account, social posts and connections, profile photo, and push-notification token are deleted from our active systems. Copies in encrypted backups are overwritten within about 35 days on our regular backup cycle.
What we may keep, and why. We may keep a minimal record that the account existed and was deleted; security, fraud, and audit logs for up to about 24 months; payment and transaction records for up to 7 years where required by tax and accounting law; and information we are legally required to retain or that we need to resolve an open dispute or enforce our agreements. Anything we keep is limited to what is necessary and is deleted when no longer needed.
Information held by your school. Parking violations, incident reports, penalty-review records, and other program records that your school or campus administrators create or manage through the Juise administrator dashboard are part of the school's program records. When we delete your account, we remove your copy and disassociate this information from you where we can, but a school may retain its own program records under its own policies. Contact your school administrator directly about records the school holds.
Deleting information without closing your account. In the app you can delete individual trips from your ride history, delete your own social posts, remove your profile photo, and sign out, which removes Juise data stored on that device. Turning off location permission in your device settings stops further trip collection.
On-device data. Signing out of the app, or uninstalling it, removes the Juise data stored on that device. Deleting your account on our servers does not by itself clear a device you are still signed in on; sign out or uninstall to do that.
